A rare and stunning example of the highly collectable Rolex Submariner reference 1680, also known as the "Single Red". Beautifully aged original dial, period correct bezel and ref. 9315 Oyster "Flushfit" bracelet, not to mention Rolex box, hang tags and Rolex service papers.
This particular Rolex Submariner reference 1680 "Single Red" features the Mark IV dial, notable for showing the feet first (rather than meters) and “open” 6s with the horizontal lines of the letters "ft" not being aligned. The lume is a gorgeous and even cream colour and perfectly matches the lume of the hands which are also in mint condition. The dial does have a very fine hairline crack from the 32-minute point heading towards the centre but its very hard to see. Drop us a message and we can send you a close up video of the area.
Powered by the Rolex calibre 1575 automatic movement, which is currently keeping excellent time having previously benefited from a full Rolex service, this sub as reliable as it is beautiful - a true grail watch!
