A special example of the gorgeous Omega Chronostop Genève from circa 1969.

Purchased from its original and only owner who purchased it via the NAAVI (Navy, Army and Air Force Institues) whilst serving overseas. Having accompanied him on several tours of duty the watch ended up sitting unworn for the past couple of decades before we had the privilege to bring it to you.

The Omega Chronostop debuted in 1966. Initially intended for the Seamaster line, it offered a unique single-pusher chronograph functionality for short-time intervals. In 1967, the Chronostop transitioned to the more affordable Omega Genève collection, targeting younger buyers. It was well-received, even winning the 1967 Honour prize for chronographs and sports watches. Today the Chronostop is gaining in popularity among collectors for its iconic looks and reliable function.

Whilst the reference 146.010 stamped in the inner case back is usually associated with the drivers configuration of the Chronostop (i.e. where the dial is rotated 90 degrees to so the 12 o'clock is in the "normal" 3 o'clock position), we have seen other known original examples that have used this caseback.

If you're looking for a vintage watch with a unique design and relatively accessible price point, the Omega Chronostop is worthy of your consideration.
