This is a stunning example of the Omega Speedmaster Mark II Racing, reference 145.014, from 1970. This watch features a stunning 'Racing' dial, serviced Cal. 861 movement, and is complete with original box, paper & receipts
One of Omega's most recognisable vintage chronograph watches is the Speedmaster Mark II. This great-looking model was included into Omega's International Collection in 1969, and it was first introduced in 1968. The huge tonneau-shaped casing was a radical departure from the earlier Speedmaster models' more typical circular design. The watch, which was designed in the late 1960s, inspired the more angular forms that would become popular in the 1970s.
Technical & Condition:
Presented in overall good condition. The dial is incredibly clean and the colours remain vibrant. The glass, along with the connected inner bezel is likely a replacement and is in fair shape. The glass itself has a few scratches. The case remains in good shape with the sunburst effect still visible when the light hits it at an angle. The movement is serviced and finally, the bracelet which whilst period correct is a replacement remains in good order and will fit wrists up to 16.5cm.
