Rolex GMT 1675 Matte Dial Mark II, 1972

A rare and highly collectable example of the Rolex GMT 1675 from circa 1972. This example features a beautifully aged, original Mark II matte dial with matching hands, a gorgeously faded Pepsi bezel and a rare, original hollow link US bracelet. This is one very special piece indeed.

Offered for sale from a close client of ours (it only took us two years to persuade him to part with it!) if we could we'd buy it ourselves we'd do so in a heartbeat! 


Originally introduced in 1955 under a partnership with Pan-Am Airlines to supply their pilots with a watch that could easily display two time-zones at once, the Rolex GMT has gone on to become one of the most iconic watches ever made.

The GMT-Master reference 1675 was introduced circa 1959 and became the longest-running GMT reference ever produced continuing production for just over 20 years.
