An attractive 9ct gold Rolex Oyster dating from circa 1928. Launched in 1926 against the backdrop of the roaring twenties the original Rolex Oyster marks arguably the most important development in the brand's history; the introduction of the now famed Oyster case.

This particular example is powered by the 15 jewel manual wind Rolex Extra Prima movement housed in a 9ct gold case. The inner case back features the RWC mark for the Rolex Watch Company, makers mark and patent numbers. It also shows the numerous watch maker marks added by watchmakers over the years when the watch was being serviced. Finally the dial has been recently refurbished bringing this historical timepiece back to a fantastic condition.
