A beautiful example of the handsome Breitling Top Time 2003.4. Hailing from circa 1964 this Top Time reference 2003 features an elegant reverse panda dial, 36mm gold cap case and is powered by the manual-winding Venus calibre 188.
The Breitling Top Time has to be one of the most underpriced vintage watches around, especially in the guise of the reverse panda. It epitomises the timeless design from the heyday of vintage watches and with similar examples from brands such as Heuer selling for twice (often more) as much, the Top Time is an absolute steal!
Condition wise, this Top Time 2003.4 is in excellent overall condition. The dial is largely free from marks and has taken on a pleasing subtle patina, appearing dark brown in some light. The hands are showing some wear but for their age remain in fair shape. The second hand may have been changed in the past.
The case remains in decent shape without significant loss of its plating. Inside, the movement has been fully serviced and is running well. Finally, we fitted the watch with a new racing strap to finish off the feel of this incredible watch.
The Top Time 2003 is such an icon that Breitling decided to revive it with a Limited Edition take on it in 2020. But why settle for an imitation when you can buy the real deal!?
