A stunning example of the highly sought after Heuer Silverstone - an icon of the 1970's that remains highly collectable and wearable today.
Originally launched in 1974 as a replacement for the Heuer Monaco, the Silverstone retained the square case of the Monoco but softened its design to produce a case that is both masculine and elegant.
The Silverstone was offered in 3 colours - Red, “Fume” and Blue with the blue version becoming the rarest and most sought after by today's collectors. Unusably for Heuer, the Silverstone lineup was quite simple with three main variants being offered all sharing the same the case, movement and hands and differentiated only by the colour of their dial.
This particular watch represents a stunning example of the rarer blue Silverstone. Both the case and dial are in near mint condition with few, if any scratches visible to the naked eye. The lume of the hour markers and hands have taken on a pleasant warm hue adding a fitting reminder of the watch's age.
With the upcoming Phillips Heuer auction, prices for vintage Heuer are set to explode as this fantastic brand continues to attract a growing number of investors and collectors alike. Be quick to snap this up as we're probably going to increase our prices after the auction!
