This attractive Omega Geneve 166.070, Gold Cap from 1969 features a clean, minimalist design whilst being powered by the reliable, and newly serviced, 565 movement. At an affordable price point, this sub-£1,500 watch is a perfect entry point into the world of vintage Omega watches.
Condition wise this Omega Geneve 166.070 is in overall mint condition. As is often the case with watches gifted as appreciation for long service, the condition remains exceptional appearing to have had little wear throughout its 50 year life.
The dial and hands are in beautiful condition. The 34mm case shows minor marks and tarnishing but is in overall excellent condition. The crown has been changed at some point but is correctly signed. The movement is spotless and has just come back from a service.
This retired particular example was gifted to its owner in 1971 for long service to Boots (which is can still be found on UK high streets to this day).
A lovely vintage Omega dress watch that is sure to stand the test of time.
