A stunning example of the fascinating and collectible Patek Philippe 3770/11 Nautellipse.

Introduced in 1980, The Nautellipse is one of the most intriguing models produced by Patek. This "hybrid" watch cleverly combined design elements from the popular and elegant Ellipse with the rugged lines of the Nautilus.

Despite the high regard that the Nautilus is held in today, back in 1980 some considered it slightly overbearing on the wrist in comparison to thinner quartz models of the era. Patek were also keen to bring the success of the Ellipse to a new audience.

The answer was the Nautellipse with its elegant dial design and thin case (6.5mm) complimented with just a hint of the sporty design of the Nautilus. Of interest, the company that made the cases for the Nautilus 3770, Favre & Perret, also made the cases for the Nautellipse.

The Nautellipse came in a number of variants including those cased in steel, yellow gold and the two-tone you see here. The case measured 35 mm x 39 mm and the watch was powered by the Quartz E27 movement. The bracelet is also something to behold, similar in design to that found on the Nautilus but instead of rectangular links the 3770 bracelet has elongated Elliptical-shaped links.
