This early vintage Rolex Oyster reference 2136 is a stunning example of one of the most important horological timepieces of the 20th Century, the Rolex Oyster. Dating from circa 1938, this 9k gold Rolex, reference 2136, has been well looked after, is in excellent vintage condition and has just undergone a full professional service.
Behind The Watch
This watch is powered by a 15-jewel manual wind movement, timed 6 positions for all climates. The polished octagonal case of this watch is made from 9-carat gold. The case back, as well as the crown, are both released through screw-down technology synonymous with the Rolex watches of this time.
The dial has been professionally refurbished and features a clean and timeless design with striking, black Arabic numerals complemented by a black outer minute track with 5-minute divisions as well as subsidiary seconds at 6. The black pointed baton hands bring this watch together, culminating in a beautifully timeless Rolex wristwatch.
