The Rolex Datejust (reference 16030) is one of our favourite vintage Rolex watches. It's timeless, understated and works well in both casual and business environments. This particular Datejust is a full set with box, papers, booklet, hang tag. Moreover it was recently serviced by its previous owner, a certified Omega watchmaker who also has extensive experience with Rolex pieces.
Originally launched in 1945 to celebrate Rolex's 40th Anniversary, the Datejust was the first automatic wrist watch to indicate the date in a window on the dial. The Datejust we have here, the reference 16030 is fitted with the Officially Certified Superlative Chronometer grade calibre 3035 automatic movement. Not only is this a reliable movement it also has the added benefit of quick-set date function.
The condition of this particular Rolex Datejust 16030 is excellent for its age. The case whilst previously polished is in clean condition as is the engine turned bezel. The dial shows no obvious marks or tarnishing. It is possible a couple of hour mark lume plots have been refreshed in the past. The hands are also in near mint condition. The glass was replaced during its last serviced with a non-Rolex version. As mentioned the movement was fully serviced recently and is in fine working order. The bracelet is a Rolex Jubilee reference 6251H with the 55 end piece.
Coming as a rare full set, this excellent example of one our favourite vintage Rolex watches is sure to sell quickly at this price.
