An honest example of one of our favourite vintage Speedie references, the 105.003 aka the “Ed White”. This particular Ed White has seen plenty of use over its life and is in honest vintage condition. Whilst its history is clear to see with its worn bezel and faded caseback, the case still retains good sharpness and the movement has received a full service insuring this watch will continue to provide years of enjoyment for its new owner.
Overall this piece is in excellent original condition for the wear its seen. The hands and hour plots have been “re-lumed” but remain in good condition. The watch features the correct “A7” dial, DON bezel (aka Dot diagonal 70), double bezel case back and the movement serial matches that of the known movement numbers for the 105.003. Its fitted to a gorgeously supple handmade leather strap that, we think, perfectly matches the charm of the Ed White.
The colour of the lume and the bezel wear means this is almost £2k less than if those two items were in mint condition! It may be just us but that sounds like a pretty good deal!
