A pristine example of the highly collectable Universal Geneve Tri-Compax Ref. 22258 from circa 1945. The Tri-Compax is one of our favourite 1940’s chronographs with its perfect size, beautiful proportions and wonderful movements.
The dial of this particular ref. 22258 has been professionally restored and is in mint condition. You see a lot of “original” dial variants for the Tri-Compax (many of which aren’t actually original unfortunately) in such bad shape that they just look a mess. Whilst we’re strong advocates for fully original pieces, sometimes a professionally done job like this is hard to argue with, especially for the price difference!!
The 36mm case features the long lugs that this reference is known for and overall is in fantastic condition. Inside you’ll find the calibre 481 manual wind movement just serviced by our watchmaker. It features day, date and month indicators as well as moonphase and chronograph.
A truly magnificent watch that we’ll be sad to see go!
